Abstract
The article discusses the main physical and chemical methods of industrial and municipal wastewater treatment. The advantages and areas of their effective application are indicated. A classification of cleaning methods according to the method of impact on pollutants is proposed. The advantages and disadvantages of currently used methods of purification by extraction, neutralization, using membranes are outlined. The method of wastewater treatment by sorption is considered in detail.
