Abstract

Summary This work will raise the problem of using the existing criteria for assessing soil and ground contamination. To date, such criteria, applicable to soils and soils of mineral deposits, are absent, and the existing ones are ineffective and unable to correctly reflect the geoecological conditions of the study area. The purpose of this work is to provide evidence of the inconsistency of the existing requirements for assessing soil and ground contamination. The article examines the application of the requirements of regulatory documents on the example of soil studies of the territory of one of the ore gold deposits in the Middle Urals. Disclose the issues of existing soil survey techniques, requirements for sampling and assessment of soil and soil contamination.
