Abstract
The paper describes locking assemblies used i.a. in mining machines and discusses the advantages of their application. On the example of a roadheader and belt conveyor, the assembly, disassembly and operating problems connected to locking assemblies occurring in the conditions of underground exploitation of raw materials are presented. From the examples of the use of locking assemblies and the resulting problems presented in the paper, it can be concluded that their proper operation depends upon a maximum reduction of their contamination.
