Abstract

A detailed analysis of current methods of neutron beam polarization is presented and the main problems which are seen on the way of reaching the level of accuracy of 0.1% are discussed. A recently developed approach based on the use of the Stern–Gerlach effect suitable for investigating of large cross sections of neutron beams is described.
