Abstract
The threat of the depletion and degradation of the resources of our planet's biosphere as a result of various types of human activity poses the task of controlling the environment as one of the most urgent and grandiose problems in the modern revolution in science and technology. A particular place belongs to the socioeconomic aspect of this problem. Since the anthropogenic transformation of man's environment is primarily the result of his economic activity, the control of the state of the environment should be viewed as one of the main tasks in the management of the social production process.
