Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of lexicographic codification of German eurysemic verb lexes. Causes of semantic insufficiency are analyzed when describing the meaning of wide-valued units. The article deals in detail with German verb units with the preverbal component hin-, belonging to the conceptual area of "modality of action" and characterized by a wide reference correlation. By the contextual analysis of the concordances of the representative electronic corpus of DWDS-Corpus, the article reveals contextually conditional elements of the semantics of verb units, on the basis of which usual semantic variants not reflected in dictionary definitions are formulated, common to several or all lexemes of this group, as well as usual variants of individual lexemes.
