Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the consumer legislation of Ukraine and the European Union, the definition of the main problems of the institution of protection of consumer rights and the search for ways to solve these problems. The necessity of reforming and improving the mechanism of consumer rights protection in Ukraine is grounded. The characteristic of the basic normative legal documents that regulate the rights of consumers is presented. The conclusion is made that the current regulatory and legal acts do not cover a number of problems in the field of consumer protection, although the basic principles of our consumer legislation still correspond to those in Europe.
