Abstract
The current state and ways of updating the material and technical base of agriculture in the Saratov region are analyzed. The conducted researches proved expediency and efficiency of investment activity. Together with this they also revealed a number of problems facing the agrarians. And, first of all, it is a lack of own funds and expensive banking services for the formation and development of the infrastructure of the agro-food market. A decisive role in the development of the economy of the agribusiness sector should be assumed by the state institutions of power. The implementation of investment projects on co-financing terms will help to increase production and innovation potential, increase the competitive positions of agricultural producers.
