Abstract

Issues pertaining to Ergonomics in teaching History of Architecture and Urban Planning in a Faculty of Architecture are discussed in this paper. The analysis is based on a development of the programmes in two architecture faculties in Poznan (Poland): Technical University and Arts University and the subject currently taught within the scope of Architecture and Town Planning History at the University of Arts in Poznan (UAP). Urban landscape, understood in the broad sense, and comfort of using buildings and homes were closely related to to-day’s ergonomic problems. Implementation and subsequent changes and adaptations of the programmes for this subject are discussed, with emphasis on ergonomic problems.
