Abstract . A dual-rate moon position camera is used to hold the moon and stars fixed during a simultaneous time expo- sure. The coordinates of the moon with respect to the stars are found with greater accuracy than has been previously possible. Also, the moon may be observed over a greater orbital arc. These advantages combine to make the photographic technique a powerful one in the solution of several astronomical and geodetic problems.
