Abstract

Cities are a key element for research and development of activities to achieve sustainable development goals. The urbanization process entails population migration, which can be caused by both demographic factors and economic and political factors. The urban environment is a complex system of connections and is an object of strategic planning with high potential in an integrated policy aimed at sustainable development. The article discusses issues related to the formation of the architectural and planning structure of the city. To determine the directions for the future development of normative legal acts in the field of urban planning, the existing systems of legal regulation were considered. The study of the development processes of the urban structure is aimed at identifying problems and can later be used in the development of new methods of urban planning management, land management and land use planning aimed at sustainable urban development.
