Abstract

This paper is an attempt to capture, from the pages of selected foreign scientific journals from 2015-2020, global trends in the management of various types of libraries. This, although to a very limited extent, will offer insights into the theory and practice of library management in Poland as well as factors that influence them. This study’s methodology is based on the analysis of scientific and industry literature in the library and information science discipline. The analysis of the content of three selected foreign scientific journals devoted to library management - Library Management, Journal of Library Administration, and Library Leadership and Management for 2015-2020 revealed that the most frequently undertaken topics in the field of library management are: leadership, user-oriented management, resource management human resources, strategic planning and management, change management, organizational culture, knowledge management and interlibrary and external cooperation.
