Abstract

The implementation of Islamic education by educational units cannot be separated from various problems that arise, both problems related to the quality of education and its management. This article discusses the problems of Islamic Religious Education that occur at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ittihad Belung District, Malang Regency, East Java Province. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The results of this research show that there are two problematic factors, namely: first, internal factors which include facilities and infrastructure, students, educators, and curriculum; second, external factors which include the role of student parents, community involvement and government concern. So the solution and development offer is to complete the necessary facilities/facilities; increasing the competence of educators (teachers); developing students' learning motivation; develop and implement learning objectives optimally; and establishing good cooperation with parents, the community and the government
