Abstract

Wie article discusses such concepts as “historical memory”, “cultural memory”, “post-memory”, “digital memory". It is emphasized that with the advent of network communication, the construction of the image of the past ceased to be the prerogative of professional historians and turned into a “collective project”. The authors emphasize that these changes correspond to the postmodern concept of plurality. It is noted that the digital environment strengthens and creates new forms of conflicts of historical consciousness: different versions of the past turn into competing narratives, provoke memory wars.
