Abstract

this, specialization of the rigs according to purpose and unification of components are being carried out for the purpose of realizing various technological solutions with the use of base model-units. A patent search and analysis of the technical literature in the area of drilling showed that one of the promising methods of drilling in regions with complex mining-geological conditions is the rotary-percussion drilling method with the use of downhole pneumatic percussion machines. Works are presently underway to create a new robotized drilling complex (RDC) for drilling wells - the first specimen of a parametric series of drilling systems of a new type [3]. The enlarged complex can be represented in the form of two units: drilling (D) and technological (T). The first unit consists of a platform, hoisting mechanism, manipulator for feeding and placing pipes, mud pump, power plant, and other equipment. The second unit consists of pneumatic and hydraulic hammers, compressor plants, and a kit of drilling, emergency, and maintenance tools (pipes, bits, crowns, subs, stabilizers, taps, etc.). It is natural that both units can include equipment sets differing in standard sizes, and the drilling complexes can have different costs and operating characteristics (cost, reliability, load capacity, productivity, maximum drilling depth, operating expenses, etc.). All possible pair combinations of units of the first and second type (D and T) differing in parameters form different series of drilling complexes. With the considerable diversity of types and sizes of the equipment sets, the problem arises of selecting rational values of the parameters of a number of new-generation drilling systems. We will give a meaningful and mathematical formulation of the problem. Let the expected annual volume of drilling operations related with the construction of water-intake wells with the use of RDC be determined. It is assumed here that the need for such drilling operations changes insignificantly with time. Expanded parametric series of units D and T are given, i.e., all possible sets of articles whose production can be mastered by the initial time of the planning period. From these expanded series it is required to select the units recommended for production and to find their pair combination as well as the distribution of the drilling complexes being formed among construction objects so that the fulfillment of the given work is provided with minimum total costs in the areas of science, production, and operations. The indicated expenditures include the initial expenditures on research and development, • preparation for commercial production, cost of manufacturing drilling complexes in the required volume, and operating costs of the wells with consideration of the reliability of the complexes and mining:geological and climatic conditions of
