Abstract
Analysis of the geologic structure and of maps of the thicknesses of the ore-bearing stratum, the percentage contents, and the absolute masses of manganese and other materials all confirm the established view of the typically sedimentary origin of the Chiatura deposit, despite the attempt of G. S. Dzotsenidze to identify it as a member of the remote volcanogenic group. — Author.
