Abstract

We show that in the energy range covered by the e +e − collider TRISTAN inclusive two-photon processes, where both the photons are almost on shell, begin to be dominated by effects of the hadronic structure of the photon. A study of multijet and heavy flavour production at TRISTAN can thus probe the quark and gluon content of the photon, and may provide us with the first clear evidence for hadronically interacting photons in processes other than in deep inelastic scattering.
