Abstract

We fabricate a quantum dot (QD) with tunnel‐coupled quantum wires (QWs) to study the electronic states of the QD with the QWs as spin filters. The propagating modes of the QWs are adjusted with gate voltages to be either spin‐resolved (n=1) or spin degenerate (n=2) under finite magnetic fields. Only for the n=1 QWs, we observe large and small Coulomb peaks alternating with magnetic field in the filling factor regime of ν=2 to 4, which is assigned to singlet‐triplet transitions induced by correlation effects.
