Abstract

Across several cancer types, researchers have identified distinct gut microbial features that are associated with a high density of intratumoral tertiary lymphoid structures. They hope to develop microbiome-based interventions that induce the formation of more of these structures, which correlate with immune checkpoint blockade responsiveness.
