Abstract

Background During the operation of oil field pipelines, its inner surface is contaminated, which leads to an increase in the hydraulic resistance of the pipeline and energy consumption for pumping, to a decrease in productivity and an increase in pressure in the pipeline. This process is especially intense in prefabricated reservoirs of oil fields transporting crude products from wells, as well as in pipelines transporting high-paraffin oil. Periodic cleaning of pipelines and oilfield pipelines is one of the requirements for the removal of asphalt-tar and paraffin deposits, mechanical impurities and other deposits that impede normal pumping of the product. However, the cleaning of field pipelines has been neglected for many years. Aims and Objectives Development of technology and technical means for cleaning pipelines of variable diameter. Results The technology and technical means for cleaning pipelines of variable diameter have been developed. Field tests of the developed technology and technical equipment were carried out at «Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz» LLC during the purification of a pipe of variable diameter Kuyumbinskoye field with a diameter of 159 mm, a diameter of 219 mm, a total length of 21.885 km. Field tests of the developed technology and technical means for cleaning pipelines of variable diameter have shown that currently it is possible to safely conduct periodic cleaning of pipelines of variable diameter during operation.
