Abstract
Probability is a branch of mathematics that focuses on the possibility of an event or the possibility of a position. Probability is significant to the field of politics since it could help people analyze and predict election results. Specifically, the Markov chain plays an important role in this because it focuses on transition of states. With election, reelection, retirement, and other elements involved, the Markov chain is helpful for predicting election results.
