Abstract

The first part of this paper describes a refined three-dimensional computer model that is capable of predicting the maximum wooden shore loads in a multistory R.C. Building during construction. This is followed by a sensitivity study of various factors influencing the maximum shore loads during the entire construction process. In this study, all significant factors are treated as random variables. Finally, using the Monte Carlo method, the probability distribution of maximum shore loads and the influence of various random factors are presented. Herein, only vertical static loading conditions and wooden shores are considered.
