Abstract

The article presents a description of a model and expressions derived for evaluating probabilistic characteristics of non-test methods for adaptive signal correction, namely, the probability of stable operation of a communication system for a predetermined time and the average time of stable operation. The dependences of probability of finding a signal segment and calculating newly found (updated) coefficients of the filter under correction, as well as failure probability of a non-test adaptive correction procedure, are shown here. The obtained analysis demonstrates the efficiency of non-test methods for adaptive signal correction when used in channels with intersymbol interference (ISI) at relatively low values of signal-to-noise ratio, 8‒15 dB.
