Abstract

Recently, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have received high significance. With increasing unmanned aerial vehicles UAVs’ wireless communication activities, preventing unauthorized UAVs’ activities becomes a significant development for UAV operation in 5G and beyond 5G (B5G) communication systems. In this paper, we study a scenario where a legitimate UAV monitors suspicious UAVs’ communication via proactive eavesdropping. To achieve the maximum effective eavesdropping rate, a successful algorithm by trajectory planning is first developed. Furthermore, another algorithm is proposed by joint optimizing jamming power and trajectory planning. Numerical results validate that the proposed algorithms achieve significant 88.7% − 154.5% gains in terms of the legitimate effective eavesdropping rate compared to the reference algorithm.
