Abstract
LGBT is a phenomenon that has long been debated and has raised pros and cons among Indonesian people until now. Based on this, this research was conducted with the aim of knowing the views and responses of the community towards the LGBT phenomenon in Indonesia.This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive design. The methods used in this research are interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study used a purposive sampling technique with 12 respondents (N = 12) coming from adolescents aged 16-19 years. The results of this study are respondents who are against LGBT stating that LGBT is contrary to human nature, norms, and laws that apply in Indonesia. However, according to respondents who were pro in this study, LGBT was a right and individual freedom to express their feelings and should not be discriminated against. Based on this, it can be concluded that people who experience sexual orientation deviations will be pro towards the LGBT phenomenon, while most people consider LGBT to be something that cannot be justified.
