Abstract
The security and privacy issues are very paramount of any kind these days. Android operating system supported with the broad range of applications which deals with data which holds personal data to useless data within the devices, where privacy and security issues raise for leakage or misuse of personal or sensitive data. As individual permissions of the Android application gives access to a resource on the device, But the permission gap, i.e., the abundance permissions which are certainly not necessary for the “apps”, makes way for this privacy, security, and data leakage issues. This paper presents the privacy and security issues due to permission gaps of Android applications, and We employ Natural language processing Natural Language Processing (NLP) to analyze permissions from manifest.xml of the application package. Then the analyzed permissions are regulated into a matrix for further reduction into dangerous applications and normal applications. The recital generated by the “Permissions Ranking Module” is confined into Permission Division Algorithm, further based on the output, the apps are executed on an Isolated area with limited or restricted resources and OS with resources.
