Abstract

An assessment of the priorities of the new EU climate change policy until 2050 was made and on this basis the prospects of Ukraine's climate policy were analyzed taking into account the European Green Deal for adaptation to climate change in Ukraine.

Introduction

An assessment of the priorities of the new EU climate change policy until 2050 was made and on this basis the prospects of Ukraine's climate policy were analyzed taking into account the European Green Deal for adaptation to climate change in Ukraine. They combine the application of emissions trading to new sectors and the strengthening of the existing EU emissions trading system; increasing the use of renewable energy; greater energy efficiency; faster implementation of low-emission modes of transport and infrastructure and fuel to support them; harmonization of tax policy with the goals of the European Green Course; measures to prevent carbon leakage; tools for storing and growing our natural carbon sinks [2].
