Abstract
An assessment of the priorities of the new EU climate change policy until 2050 was made and on this basis the prospects of Ukraine's climate policy were analyzed taking into account the European Green Deal for adaptation to climate change in Ukraine.

In order to compensate for the costs of climate change adaptation measures in Ukraine, it is necessary to introduce effective economic mechanisms aimed at realizing all revenues from emissions trading on climate and energy projects
It is necessary to identify possible mechanisms for attracting investment in measures to adapt to climate change, in particular to improve the mechanism of taxation of greenhouse gas emissions and the targeted use of funds raised
Summary
An assessment of the priorities of the new EU climate change policy until 2050 was made and on this basis the prospects of Ukraine's climate policy were analyzed taking into account the European Green Deal for adaptation to climate change in Ukraine. They combine the application of emissions trading to new sectors and the strengthening of the existing EU emissions trading system; increasing the use of renewable energy; greater energy efficiency; faster implementation of low-emission modes of transport and infrastructure and fuel to support them; harmonization of tax policy with the goals of the European Green Course; measures to prevent carbon leakage; tools for storing and growing our natural carbon sinks [2].
