Abstract

Laser printing relies in the laser forward transfer of functional materials for the direct-write of electronic, optical and sensor devices. With laser decal transfer it is possible to generate patterns and structures at the microscale for digital microfabrication in shorter time and in fewer steps than with standard lithographic processes. This paper will describe the unique advantages and capabilities of laser decal transfer, discuss its applications and explore its role in the future of digital microfabrication.
