Abstract

A novel microstrip-line-fed elliptical slot antenna is proposed in this paper. The proposed prototype consists of an elliptical radiating element and ground plane with elliptical slot in a two-side conductor-coated substrate. From experiment results, the measured impedance bandwidth defined by VSWR < 2.5, is from 1.60 GHz to 25 GHz and even higher frequency, i.e., a ratio of about 15.6:1. Furthermore, good radiation patterns covering the operating band have been observed.
