Abstract

Principles of zoning a territory by the pollution hazard to groundwater depending on the pollution sources and their position in the environment are considered. Pollution hazard classifications are proposed for groundwater, pollutants (by their chemical and hydrochemical properties), and groundwater pollution risks, depending on the degree of hazard and the type of pollutant. A procedure is proposed for mapping the hazard and risks of groundwater pollution by various pollutants on the basis of the performed zoning.
