Abstract

Physicochemical interactions of furazano-1,2,3,4-tetrazine-1,3-dioxide (F) with organic solvents are studied according to thermogravimetry and UV spectrophotometry. It is shown that the donor-acceptor interaction of F with aromatic hydrocarbons is observed with the formation of mobile complexes. The solubility of F is determined in a series of organic and aqueous-organic media in the temperature range of 0 to 72°C. In an acetic acid-water system, the synergetic temperature effect of an increase in solubility is revealed for F, and the maximum solubility of F is found at 70°C and an F : AcOH : H2O molar ratio of 2 : 1 : 1. For solutions of F in dichloromethane, a solvotropic effect is observed in the presence of 2,4-dinitro-2,4-diazapentane.
