Abstract
The text discusses the principles of both environmental science and environmental technology. The first five chapters deal with the former. The topics discussed include: principles of environmental science; mass conservation; principles of energy behavior; ecological principles and concepts; and an overview of major environmental problems of today. Chapters six through nine are technology oriented and deal in depth with water and waste water problems, solid waste problems, air pollution problems, and analytical methods in examining pollutants. Discussions of control methods are included in each of the four final chapters. (ERB)
