Abstract

AbstractThe research aimed at developing methods for creating high-tech countermeasures is presented. Vulnerabilities of small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in terms of communication and control systems are considered. The classification of attacks and hindrances according to various criteria is given. A taxonomy of various types of known attacks that UAVs may be subject to is presented. Intentional interference can lead to a temporary loss of control of the unmanned vehicle, its incapacitation, interception of control of the vehicle, and, as a consequence, its misuse. It is noted that the security of UAVs is a major problem, especially in terms of cyberattacks and radio channel jamming attacks, while there is currently no typical way to effectively counter them. A promising architecture of a communication and control system for a small-sized UAV is presented, its key features and implementation options are considered. The presented architecture is aimed primarily at protecting against jamming and radio channel simulation.KeywordsUnmanned aerial vehicles, Intentional interferenceCommunication systemControl of the vehicleWireless technologies
