This second edition of Principles and Practice of Medical Therapy in Pregnancy appears a scant six years after the first. I reviewed it then as probably the most complete compilation of therapy for medical conditions complicating pregnancy extant. Now, rewritten and updated, it continues as a truly extraordinary textbook of medicine developed expressly for both practicing obstetricians and internists. All organ systems and their relevant diseases affecting mother and fetus are discussed in depth, and each chapter presents an extensive bibliography updated in many instances to 1990.
