Abstract

Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM) is a powerful technique to study the microscopic magnetic domain structure for high-density magnetic recording media since MFM has relatively high resolution. However, interpretation of MFM images is rather difficult, because MFM detects not magnetic fields, but high degree derivatives of magnetic fields at the position away from a sample [1]. Therefore. if the signal transformation from raw MFM signals to the magnetic fields near a sample Surface is possible, this transformation method is useful 10 analyze the microscopic magnetic structure by using the boundary conditions of magnetic materials.
