Abstract

There were no major alterations of the basic principals of osteosynthesis in the facial skeleton over the past years. Nevertheless, by the reason of further developments of the osteosynthesis systems and Instruments as well as by the implementation of computer-assisted surgery including the use of anatomical or customized Implants crucial advancements of the treatment can be seen.
