Abstract

1. The vertical forces transmitted to the weighed car through its automatic couplers may contribute considerable errors to the weighing of moving cars in a train. 2. In order to evaluate with the permissible relative errors of ±0.1% and ±0.5% the mass of loads carried in cars, it is necessary to have a special device which eliminates the effect of the automatic coupling. Without such a device it is possible to measure the mass of loads only with a permissible error of not less than ±1.0%.
