Abstract

This article is devoted to the analysis of astrological sources in Giovanni Pico della Mirandola's Disputationes adversus astrologiam divinatricem. The main aim of this paper is to show how Giovanni Pico used his sources for opposing Claudius Ptolemy, the ‘optimus malorum’ among astrologers, to other astrologers and for emphasizing the dissonance in the astrological tradition.
