Abstract

Big Bang Nucleosynthesis provides a unique probe of the early evolution of the Universe. By confronting the predictions of element synthesis in the standard hot big bang model with the observed abundances of the light elements, we may test the consistency of the standard model and derive valuable constraints on parameters of particle physics and cosmology.
