Abstract

Let G u be the semigroup of n × n generalized circulant Boolean matrices and G( J n ) the set of all primitive matrices in G n . Necessary and sufficient conditions for an r-circulant Boolean matrix to be a primitive matrix are given. We also show that G( J n ) is a subsemigroup of G n .
