Abstract

True bugs Hesperolabops nigriceps and Narnia femorata Stal. feed on vegetative and reproductive structures of cultivated and wild cactus at Toluca, State of Mexico. Both species were preyed on by the assassin bug Zelus longipes, representing the first record of Z. longipes as a predator of two pests of economic importance in the nopal agroecosystem in Mexico.
