Abstract

A2-month-old Korean-American boy presented with 3 days of constipation and a palpable left flank mass. The complete blood count, serum electrolytes, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, liver function tests, chest radiograph, and urinalysis were normal. Diagnostic imaging showed a 10 cm × 7-cm heterogeneous upper pole left renal neoplasm (Fig. 1). The nephrectomy specimen demonstrated a mature teratoma with rare foci of immature elements confined by the renal capsule (Fig. 2). Eleven years later, no recurrence was found.
