Abstract

Extra-nodal presentation occurs in about 40% of patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), and the orbit accounts for 5 ± 14% of all cases. Orbital lymphomas present as slowly enlarging lesions arising from the eyelid, orbit, lacrimal gland or conjunctiva (Figure 1). They are generally painless and do not compromise vision until they reach a large size, when they can cause ptosis, proptosis or diplopia. Diagnosis is made by orbital biopsy.
