Abstract

In today's information age, reform on Teaching of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature is becoming increasingly urgent. On the basis of its disciplinary characteristics, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature can be taught by improving the quality of teachers, changing teaching model and guiding students to learn actively, positively and effectively in classroom. In terms of teaching content, emphasis should be given to currency, historic significance, aesthetic value of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature to cultivate students' interest in reading and reduce feeling of estrangement caused by time differences. In addition, traditional evaluation mechanisms should be changed and students' learning process should be assessed comprehensively to enhance their confidence and motivation. In conclusion, teaching reform based on the above-mentioned aspects will make teaching Modern and Contemporary Chinese literature more scientific and rational.
