Twelve of these patients had hepatomas, or liver cell tumors, while six had cholangiomas, or bile duct cell tumors, and two had atypical or mixed types. The ratio of hepatomas to cholangiomas, therefore, was 2:1, which agrees with the ratio given by Bockus.1 Ten of these 20 patients (seven of the hepatoma group and three of the cholangioma group) also had cirrhosis.
