Primary amines from alkenes and carbonyl compounds: highly selective hydrogenation of oximes using a homogeneous Ru-catalyst

Abstract

The first homogeneously catalyzed selective hydrogenation of aldoximes for the synthesis of aliphatic primary amines. This protocol, combined with hydroformylation, oxime condensation, and hydrogenation, converts alkenes to primary amines.
