Abstract

The tasks of the building of communism in our country in the near future were outlined clearly in the Report of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) to the Twenty-fifth Party Congress. One more major step remains to be taken in the building of the material and technological foundation of communism, in improving production relations, and in forming the socialist way of life and the new man. The main task of the Tenth Five-Year Plan is the consistent implementation of the Communist Party's policy of raising the material and cultural living standard of the people through the dynamic and proportional development of social production, through increasing the effectiveness of social production, through the acceleration of scientific-technical progress, through the growth of labor productivity, and through the comprehensive improvement of the quality of the work in all elements of the economy.
