Abstract

PurposeTo describe priapism as an unusual manifestation of metastatic penile lymphoma and review of the available literature. MethodsA cases is presented of a patient with metastatic penile lymphoma. A systematic review of the available literature was performed. ResultsThe case of an elderly male is presented, who was seen in the emergency department with a priapism. The patient was previously diagnosed with testicular lymphoma. The priapism was treated with a corpora cavernosa shunt, with a partial response. The immunohistochemical study reported: “diffuse lymphoma”. The patient died before definitive treatment. ConclusionAlthough priapism is a rare manifestation of penile lymphoma, it should be borne in mind.© 2012 Sociedad Colombiana de Urología. Published by Elsevier España, S.L. All rights reserved.
