Abstract

Today's high school students in Japan use the Internet for a great many hours. Yet, students do not have many opportunities to know their comparative Internet usage between themselves. Therefore, I practiced having high school students analyze their Internet usage between themselves. By doing so, I hypothesized that it would garner awareness of Internet addiction. In this paper, I introduce educational strategies to prevent and improve Internet addiction by enabling high school students to develop their awareness and then examine the results therein.
