Abstract

The physicochemical composition of underground brackish water used in a circulating service water supply system is investigated. The type of scale formed on the heat-transfer surface is determined, and the scale-formation kinetics is studied. A technological scheme for preventing scale formation from occurring using a surfactant is developed.
